Kit Kittredge: An American Girl. A Five Star Movie and a must see!

Kit Kittredge is basically a story of a resourceful young girl whose bravery, compassion and determination helped her solve a mystery that saved her family's home during the Great Depression era back in 1930's. The movie is interesting from beginning to end with lots of lessons to learn. The young girl playing Kit is Abigail Breslin and she was brilliant in this movie and so was the rest of the supporting cast. I don't want to spoil the movie so this is all I can say for now.

Vic and I make it a point to go out to see movies that we both agree to watch every month. It is our date and a form of relaxation for us. We both are selective when it comes to movies and Kit Kittredge has become a favorite. If you have not seen the movie yet, please go. Take a break from your busy life and see this movie. A son asked his father: 'Dad, will you take part in a marathon with me? The father who, despite having a heart condition, says 'Yes'. They went on to complete the marathon together. Father and son went on to join other marathons, the father always saying 'Yes' to his son's request of going through the race together. One day, the son asked his father, 'Dad , let's join the Ironman together.' To which, his father said 'Yes' too. For those who don't know, Ironman is the toughest triathlon ever. The race encompasses three endurance events of a 2.4 mile (3.86 kilometer) ocean swim, followed by a 112 mile (180.2 kilometer) bike ride, and ending with a 26.2 mile (42.195> kilometer) marathon along the coast of the Big Island. Father and son went on to complete the race together.
